SMANSA TARA (SMA Negeri 1 Sangatta Utara)  adalah salah satu sekolah tingkat atas yang ada di kabupaten  Kutai Timur . SMA Negeri 1 Sengata Utara mulai berdiri sejak tgl 24 Juni tahun 1997. Awalnya SMA ini dibangun atas bantuan PT. KPC dan sebagai salah satu bangunan pilar tonggak berdirinya pemekaran kabupaten Kutai Timur.
